It's Time to Stop the Insanity

Do you find yourself doubting your decisions?

Do you question your actions?

Do you wake up wondering what the day will bring?

Are you afraid of failure?

It’s time to STOP the insanity!

It’s time to ‘get real’ for a moment! 

If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, it’s time to STOP and re-evaluate. More often than not, the stress is something that you have brought upon yourself. Yes, brought upon yourself. Now, before you start shaking your head and click off this site, continue reading. 

Stress is very real.

Stress can debilitate you from moving forward.

Stress can cause illness.

Stress can literally kill you.

All this is true. But the following is also true –> You can control stress. You can reduce or eliminate the factors that are causing stress. You can stop the insanity. You and only you can do this. 

In order to stop the insanity you must be ready. Some are simply not ready to make the changes in their lives. These same individuals will suffer daily because of the choices they make.

Are you ready to make changes? Are you ready to move forward? Are you ready to face the difficulties that will come your way? Are you ready to handle the naysayers that will inevitably try to distract your focus? 

Remember it’s all up to you and you can certainly accomplish all the above and so much more. It’s up to you to determine what you will do to change what is affecting your life. Will it be easy? Chances are it will not be easy, but that is part of stopping the insanity! You can make the changes today. How?

Here’s how to stop the insanity that is causing many of the stresses in your life:

1. Change your mindset – I’m sure you’ve heard this before but are unsure how exactly you can accomplish this change. Changing your mindset involves how you look or view a situation. There is always a positive to a negative. Instead of focusing on the negative, consider focusing on the positive of the situation. For instance, you may be stressed over the screaming children. Instead of losing your cool, think about how your life would be without the screaming children. Think about how quickly they will grow and how you will actually wish they were around making noise. I know this may sound impossible at the time, but again you have the choice.

2. Let go – this may be one of the hardest things for you to do but when you practice it enough it will become easier. As a busy mom or woman you are accustomed to doing everything for everyone; which is very stressful. Instead of taking on another project, learn to teach someone else or simply learn the magic word – ‘no’. 

3. Stop the voices – these are the voices in your head that will cause you to doubt your decisions. We all have these voices and when you learn to distinguish them you will learn to stop them. Many times these voices in your head are based on your fear. Your fear of failure. It’s okay to fail. It’s okay to fail. It’s okay to fail. Notice, that if you read and repeat this enough times you will actually begin to believe it. But, honestly, it truly is okay to fail. How else will you learn until you fail. Failure is not all bad and it’s truly what has pushed some of our greatest leaders.

This list can go on and on but for sake of time and space I will stop. It’s truly time to stop doubting yourself. Let go of the fear that is crippling you. Don’t compare yourself with others and simply learn to love yourself.

Loving yourself is perhaps one of the biggest obstacles you will have to overcome. When you are able to knock down the wall of doubt and fear, you will truly flourish. You will succeed because you were made for and by Greatness and when you realize this you will begin to live the life that is awaiting you. You can do it! I believe in you, now it’s time you believe in yourself!
